Traffic congestion in the Netherlands increased this year, even though several new roads opened in Zuid Holland, according to ANWB figures. Overall congestion rose by 3%, mainly due to delays at border crossings linked to additional spot checks. While infrastructure projects around Rotterdam have eased traffic in the region, roadworks — particularly on Amsterdam’s A10 ring road — continued to cause problems.
