The Trump administration is touting a proposed 9.2‑GW natural gas power complex near Portsmouth, Ohio, as the centerpiece of a new U.S.–Japan trade deal

From a 3.5GW US wind colossus to a data centre hybrid complex, these are the power plants coming online in 2026 to keep an eye out for.

The company plans to build another natural gas facility that will power about 110,000 homes once it is completed.

The project would be financed by Japan as part of a trade deal, but the U.S. Department of Commerce has not given a specific site for the project.
