Former North Farmington High School student Megan Keller scored the golden goal Thursday, sending the United States women’s hockey players to the podium as the 2026 Olympic Gold Medal champions.

For the third time in women’s hockey Olympics history, the United States has claimed the gold medal.

But late in the third period, with a gold medal on the line, they found themselves in a wholly unfamiliar position: behind on the scoreboard.
